My name is Cara G.
I was born and raised in St. Louis, Mo.
I am a wife, mother, daughter, sister, niece, grand-daughter, sister-in-law, teacher, and friend.
After my husband, Gerry, and I started dating ( in 2003), I decided to go back to school. I was basically diving head first into the role of becoming a student. I quit my job as a Montessori Teacher and had had 4 years of college staring me in the face. Two years in, Gerry and I got married. In July 2007, I gave birth to our first daughter, Maria. Student teaching was all I had left to do before I officially became a college graduate and I put it off to spend the first few months of my daughters life at home taking care of her.
It was those first few months at home where I was really bitten by the "Stay At Home Mom Bug."
After that, I didn't want to work. I just wanted to raise my kids.
I finished my degree in Elementary Education, but for now I am doing what I love the most - being a mom.
In May 2009, we welcomed our second daughter, Naomi, into our family. We don't know if she will be our last one, or if we will will try for one more. But for now, we are enjoying life and loving our kids.
This blog is about the everyday ins and outs of being a stay at home mom and raising our two little girls.
